Environmental Choice New Zealand The New Zealand Ecolabelling Trust is a voluntary, multiple specifications based environmental labelling programme, which operates to international standards and principles.
Initiated and endorsed by the New Zealand Government, Environmental Choice recognises the genuine moves made by manufacturers to reduce the environmental impacts of their products and provides a credible and independent guide for consumers who want to purchase products that are better for the environment.

ENERGY STAR
ENERGY STAR is an international voluntary labeling programme designed to protect the environment through the identification and promotion of energy-efficient products and practices. Every Konica Minolta business information product has qualified for the ENERGY STAR label since 1995.

Blue Angel Mark
The world's first ecological label introduced in 1978, Germany's Blue Angel Mark is awarded to products and services which are beneficial for the environment and also fulfill high standards of occupational health and safety and fitness for use. Konica Minolta has continued to receive this certification for many of its products since 1992.

RoHSCompliance
The European Union's RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive restricts certain harmful substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl, and polybrominated diphenyl ether from being used during the production of electrical and electronic equipment. Currently, all bizhub products are RoHS compliant.

WEEE The European Union's WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive requires the collection and treatment of electronic & electrical equipment at the end of a product's life through the manufacturer. Currently, all bizhub products are WEEE compliant.

ISO14001 ISO 14001 is an international standard for the environmental management of companies. Businesses are judged by their use of natural resources, handling of waste, energy consumption, and other criteria. In Japan, every Konica Minolta Group business and manufacturing site is ISO 14001 certified.

EcoLogo Introduced by the Canadian government in 1988, EcoLogo is the most widely recognised and respected environmental certification programme in North America. Konica Minolta obtained EcoLogo certification for 12 of its MFPs in the office Machines category in 2009.

Eco Mark The Eco Mark was established by the Japan Environment Association in 1989 as a standard environmental labelling system in Japan. Konica Minolta's basic policy is to obtain Eco Mark certification for all its business information products.

EcoLeaf The EcoLeaf is a Type III environmental labeling programme defined by ISO 14025, providing information on the environmental impact of a product throughout its lifecycle. Konica Minolta discloses environmental impact data concerning its business information products through the Eco Leaf system.
