Our bizhub multifuntional devices are equipped with special security features designed to protect network data. They limit network access to authorised persons only and secure data output, preventing documents from falling into the wrong hands.

The bizhub range of multifunctional systems is validated by Common Criteria that meet the latest ISO 15408 EAL3 security standards. Common Criteria is the internationally recognised standard for IT security testing (ISO/IEC 15408). Copiers, printers and software with this certification are security evaluated, guaranteeing the highest level of data security available today.

1. Log files compile a list of users, times and actions involving your data. All MFP operations are documented, providing an easy means of detecting any unauthorised access attempt.
2. With PageScope Web Connection, SSL encryption is available for the web interface, protocols can be disabled and the web interface can also be rendered completely inoperative. This would make any communication over the http impossible.
3. To ensure that unauthorised persons cannot see a printed document before it is retrieved from the output tray, a secure printing feature can be activated. The printout is only generated after the correct PIN code is entered directly at the device.
4. A 128-bit algorithm-based encryption system encodes all data written on the hard disk and RAM memory of your printer, copier or fax equipment, rendering them useless to any unauthorised person. In addition, an overwriting feature erases internal data on the hard disk by overwriting with random numbers. A password is required to access the integrated hard disk, preventing unauthorised removal.
5. An authentication procedure ensures that only registered users can transmit information on the network. And - with the Windows Active Directory - scanning access is granted only after the Windows user name and password have been correctly entered.
6. IP filtering enables the network administrator to limit the access of specific devices to the address groups of authorised users. This highly effective firewall prevents all but authorised access to the configurations or the network.
